This 2 session workshop, is designed for Easter-holiday-kids with or without their grown ups! A fun activity to do together, learning the basics of embroidery stitch and design. Kids are of course welcome without adults.
The class is intended for children (and adults) aged about 12yrs plus. A level of dexterity and care is required as we will have lots of pins, needles and scissors on our work table!
Day 1 you will be given your full handmade embroidery kit with everything you’ll need – hoop, scissors, needles & threads and a piece of soft Italian linen on which to start learning to stitch your designs. Also Includes traceable designs, tracing paper, pencils etc.
Class 1 – Weds April 8th – entails tracing sweet shapes and patterns of your choice onto a blank, specially prepared piece of linen and a start on learning the basic stitches on a practice linen sampler.
(Class 2 – Fri April 10th – entails learning more stitches and starting to stitch over own your traced design. PLEASE REMEMBER TO SELECT AND BOOK THIS CLASS ALSO.)

Food & Drink: I will prepare a homemade light vegetarian snack to enjoy during our 1/2 hr break. Various teas & coffee also provided. Please feel free to bring your own food & drinks if you prefer.
